The word mansha means wish, and it is a word especially fitting for this gorgeous collection of whimsical, wishful outfits. Mansha is Tjori’s latest collection: a veritable treasure trove of luxurious modal silk apparel that has been enhanced with Ajrakh hand block printed designs and simple golden zari work. The outfits in this collection are elegant, dreamy and sophisticated – perfect for the modern woman of today.

Modal silk apparel

Modal is a super soft fabric that is known to be extremely soft, lightweight and silky smooth. Also known as wood pulp fibre, it holds dye really well, making it perfect for our range of hand block printed kurtas. We have combined this lovely modal with silk - one of the most luxurious fabrics known to man. Silk is known for its inherent sheen and rich texture. Together, these two fabrics come together to create magic. Modal silk is super soft, luxurious and gorgeous to drape, making it the perfect fabric for our latest collection.

Ajrakh hand block printed designs

The word Ajrakh instantly conjures up images of jewel-like fabrics – which is exactly what this beautiful collection is all about. Ajrakh - a unique form of block printing whose history can be traced as far back as to the Indus Valley civilisation – is today seeing a revival, thanks to a newfound love for contemporary Indian wear rooted in the traditional. For generations, the art of Ajrakh block printing has been practiced by the Khatri community, who today keep the tradition alive by practicing it at the village of Ajrakhpur in Gujarat as well as in the Kutch region of India.

Mansha uses Ajrakh block printed fabrics beautifully in association with solid modal silk to create stunning ethnic kurtas. The block printing has been done painstakingly by hand and features traditional motifs for a lovely finish.

64-count wool

This collection is not just about modal silk, it also features gorgeous shawls in 64-count wool. This premium wool has been used to create lovely reversible shawls that go well with our kurtas and can also be worn with western outfits. Tasteful and sophisticated, they are super soft and warm, making them perfect for the chilly weather.

Zari stitch lines

To give this collection a rich finish, some of the outfits have been enhanced with golden zari stitch lines. The palazzos, for example, all feature multiple zari stitch lines at the bottom that not only enhances the fabric but also the overall look of the outfit. Some of the kurtas, similarly, also feature these zari stitch lines for a regal touch.

Lovely colours

We have kept things sophisticated and beautiful with tasteful colour combinations. Classics like blue and maroon, for example, work together in our kurtas and also in the ethnic sets that this collection houses. Sophisticated and understated hues like beige and brown also feature in the collection, as does sombre grey and cheerful mustard yellow. All these colours work together harmoniously to create beautiful sets and outfits for Mansha.
