About khadi
Khadi is spun on a charkha and woven on a handloom, so the yarn is slightly uneven and the cloth has a soft, matte texture that gets better with every wash. It breathes better than mill cotton in humid heat and keeps you warmer when it is cool. Expect a little shrinkage on the first wash; wash cold, dry in shade, iron damp.
Wear it with
Khadi dresses with Kolhapuris and oxidised earrings; khadi pants with printed kurtas. All cottons: Cotton Clothing.
FAQs
Is khadi the same as cotton?
Khadi is cotton (or sometimes silk or wool) that is hand-spun and hand-woven rather than mill-made – the difference is in the making, not the fibre.
Does khadi shrink?
A little on the first cold wash; size up if between sizes.
Can I return khadi clothing?
Yes, unused with tags within the return window; see the returns policy.
