How to choose a kurta
Fabric. Kota and mulmul are the sheerest and coolest (Kota kurtas often come with a slip); cotton slub and khadi have more body and hide creases; cambric takes prints crisply. Length. Straight and A-line kurtas fall below the knee; slips and short kurtas at the hip; anarkalis to mid-calf. Fit. Kurtas are cut with ease at the bust and hip; if you are between sizes, go up, as cotton does not stretch. Every product page carries garment measurements in cm, the full size chart covers XS to XXXL (XXXL chest 116.8 cm / 46"), and the Find My Size calculator does the matching for you.
What to wear with kurtas
Straight kurtas with cotton palazzos or straight pants; A-line and anarkali kurtas with churidar or dhoti pants; slip kurtas under capes or with a block-printed dupatta. Finish with juttis or Kolhapuris and jhumkas. If you would rather buy the bottom and dupatta together, see kurta sets.
Care
Cold gentle wash inside out, mild detergent, no bleach, dry in shade. Kalamkari and hand block prints are natural-dyed and soften after the first wash; wash dark and red kurtas separately the first two times. Iron on medium while slightly damp. FAQs about kurtas and kurtis
What is the difference between a kurta and a kurti?
Length. A kurti ends at the hip or mid-thigh; a kurta falls to the knee or below. This collection has both, plus slips, anarkalis and angrakhas.
Are these 100% cotton kurtas?
Most are – Kota, mulmul, khadi, cotton slub, cambric. A small number are rayon or cotton blends; the fabric is stated on every product page.
Which kurta is best for summer?
Mulmul and Kota straights, khadi halter-neck flares and sleeveless slip kurtas. They are the lightest weaves in the range.
Do you have plus-size kurtas?
Yes – nearly every kurta is made in XXL and XXXL. Filter the range in XXL or XXXL, and see the plus-size fit guide.
Do kurtas come with a palazzo or dupatta?
Most listings here are single kurtas; titles that begin “Set of 2” or “Set of 3” include the bottom and dupatta. The full range of matching sets is in Kurta & Suit Sets.
Can I return a kurta?
Yes, unused and unwashed with tags within the return window; see the returns policy. Some clearance styles are marked non-returnable on the product page.
