How to choose a readymade blouse
Size. Blouses are fitted, so measure your bust and upper arm and match the size chart; padded and backless styles run S to XXL only. Pairing. Printed blouses with plain sarees (Kota Doria, cotton linen); plain and silk blouses with printed or embroidered sarees; organza with georgette and silk-wool sarees. Sleeve. Sleeveless and cap sleeves for summer cotton sarees; full sleeves and bell sleeves for winter and festive. Many blouses double as crop tops with skirts and palazzos.
Sarees to wear them with
See Tjori’s handwoven Kota Doria, cotton linen and Kani sarees; most come with an unstitched blouse piece, but a readymade blouse from this collection means you can wear the saree the day it arrives. Finish with jhumkas and juttis.
Care
Cotton blouses: cold gentle wash inside out, dry in shade. Silk, satin, organza and embroidered blouses: dry clean or gentle hand wash; do not wring.
FAQs about readymade blouses
What is a readymade blouse?
A saree blouse that is already stitched to a standard size (XS–XXXL here) rather than sold as an unstitched blouse piece to be tailored.
Will a readymade blouse fit me?
Match your bust measurement to the chart on the product page; blouses are cut with a little ease and most have side seams that a tailor can take in or let out slightly.
Do you have plus-size blouses?
Yes – XXL and XXXL on nearly every style. Filter in XXL or XXXL.
Can I wear these blouses as tops?
Yes – the crop-top, bralette, Ajrakh front-open and bell-sleeve styles are designed to work with palazzos, skirts and jeans as well as sarees.
Can I return a blouse?
Yes, unused with tags within the return window; see the returns policy.
