About Bagh print
Bagh is a village on the Baghini river in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. Its printers use natural dyes – alum for red, iron for black – and wash the cloth in the river between stages; the deep red and black on cream is the signature palette. It is a cousin of Ajrakh, but with bolder floral jaals rather than geometric grids.

Both are natural-dye block prints; Bagh (MP) favours floral motifs in red and black, Ajrakh (Kutch) geometric grids in indigo and madder.
