About the print
Kalamkari – kalam, pen; kari, craftsmanship – is the natural-dye textile art of Andhra Pradesh: Srikalahasti draws freehand with a bamboo pen, Machilipatnam prints with carved blocks. This cape uses the Machilipatnam block tradition with its storytelling figures. The crafts guide explains both.

No – it is open-front, worn like a long shrug or jacket.
