The body is opaque cotton; the sleeves are sheer by design. A white slip is not needed.
Is this real chikankari?
It is chikankari-style tone-on-tone embroidery done by hand on cotton; it is not Lucknow-registered chikan, which is why it is priced as a cotton kurta.
Which bottom goes with it?
White palazzos or straight pants for a full white look; the satin dhoti pant for a function.
