About Kota Doria
Kota Doria is woven in Kota, Rajasthan, on pit looms with alternating fine cotton and silk-like yarns that form a tiny checked grid called khats. The result is a fabric that is translucent and almost weightless but holds its shape – which is why it has long been used for summer sarees and dupattas, and why it works so well as a cape.
